I am continuing to do everything I did before I got pregnant. That includes an hour of cardio a day. Doctor said it was perfectly fine, and they recommend you walk at least 30 minutes a day anyway. Congrats on your pregnancy.

I suggest you consult your doctor before starting anything. However if you already exercise, there is no reason to stop just yet. Your body will let you know when it is time to start backing off. If you get tired, slow down. If you start to cramp a little, you need to back off from going so hard. Your body knows better than anything.

Further along, of course, certain exercises become troublesome but that is not until your stomach starts getting larger and throws off your balance. Inside of your womb, your baby is very cushioned from most of what you put your body through.

Of course, you wouldn’t want to take up boxing/kickboxing/football or anything of that sort for the risk of a hard blow directly to your womb.

at 6wks, you can do every exercize you were doing before…
if it wasnt 107 + degrees everyday here where i live, i’d still be doing my daily 8mi walk through town. but the heat is dehydrating and miserable. i was doing the walkin until my 3.5 mo mark.
i still do crunches. and at 4+mo im still not showing.
i still do squats. i just dont suggest running, as it will cause too much rough movement and the beginning of the development is vital.

but as far as your back goes, i suggest you stretch.
my back kills me every night… do your stretches in the morn and before bed….
