Once you have acne, you will understand how difficult it can be regardless of your age. Acne can be a lifelong event, that can sometimes be treated over a couple of days, and other times it will last many weeks. Most people that experience this condition know how their self-esteem often suffers because of it. Society can definitely be cruel to those that suffer with this condition, however much research has been done in an attempt to make sure that a cure is someday found. If you are a parent, you should understand that this situation can have detrimental emotional effects. It is the psychological effects of acne that are usually worse than anything else. This article will discuss facts you may not know about acne to help you out.
Acne is often known as, acne vulgaris, and it is a very common skin condition as we all know. The reason acne is seen more often on the face is due to the amount of sebaceous follicles present. That is why you will see acne form on the face, the back and the upper half of the chest area. There are various severities of acne and things like blackheads and whiteheads are the least serious. But do keep in mind that even those two minor acne formations can lead to vulgaris and even more serious acne. Squeezing anything on your face isn’t a good idea as in most cases the blemish will get worse.
Many people are unaware of how many different types of acne there actually are and that can develop. The reason that it forms on a person’s body or face can be very complicated and requires a great deal of research. There are many different varieties of acne that people can contract. Rosacea, for instance, is definitely a form of acne, but it does not come with whiteheads, blackheads, or comedones. Over exposure to certain chemicals can also lead to acne forming on your face or body. This acne is called, Choracne, and there is an association with the halogenated organic compounds.
A healthy approach to taking good care of your skin is to use a mild cleanser and then use your favorite product to remove as much dead skin as possible. It is the combination of sebum or oil in your pores in excess, mixed with dead skin cells, which can cause a blockage that forms acne. To keep your skin clear for long periods of time, doing this regimen on a moderate basis is the key.
It is extremely detrimental to over cleanse or exfoliate your skin which can lead to worse acne. Doing this would be called improper skin care which can cause a great deal of damage. Skin care always needs to be a moderate process, and if it is not, you can cause skin problems.
The process of mitigating acne to a lower level can actually be accomplished by developing a few good habits. Acne can actually form very rapidly by doing a few things to irritate your skin on a daily basis. For example, a person may think that applying alcohol or derivative products containing alcohol is helpful. If you want to make your condition worse, keep using the alcohol. The use of alcohol on your skin will actually cause it to dry excessively. A secondary aspect is that your oil glands in your pores will make your skin much more oily and subsequently worsen your acne problem. Essentially, anything that you do that makes your skin much more dry will cause this situation.

Lately I’ve gone primer less just due to… getting bored of the ones I have =/ no HG primer for me yet. A lot of people swear by the MUFE HD primer. I used it and overall it felt okay… but I’m still bouncing around LOL

I personally currently don’t use a lot of BB creams. If I wear them consistently I break out in a million little bumps. And a lot of them are too grey toned for me.

It is a very very gentle exfoliator if used how I demonstrated… since it’s soooo mushy from the water and it really is soft. I use it more for cleansing and absorbing oil & bacteria rather than scrubbing super hard. Just a little pressure and quick wash is all you need. If you do not use it with a good amount of water then it would be a bit harsh.

I do not use the toner anymore because my skin isn’t reacting to it… and matifiying cream wise, I still have one around but I don’t need it as much because the oatmeal has toned the oils in my face down sooo much.

I am going to try the oat meal cleanser for sure! =) I also use baby shampoo to remove makeup, it was recommended by my dermatologist for having sensitive skin/eyes.

I have! I used it when I was first starting out with makeup since my big sister has it.. it stung my eyes a tinnnny bit but it left an oily reside so I personally prefer the SK one.
