Question: Need diet advice does anyone have any?
I’m 5’3 and I am over weight, I want to lose weight I just need some help. I want to try nutrisystem, or slim shots but not sure if they work. I need to lose a lot of weight. If anyone has any suggestions or products that they used that work I’m all ears.

Loosing weight is not dependent on pills or what so ever u see on TV. Just simply do a lot of cardio exercise such as running for 30 mins around your neighborhood or just skip rope for 10 mins. Also it is best to cut down on carbohydrates. Drink plenty of water.

Hi Foxy, I sympathise with you but products aren’t the answer. It hurts for a while and takes a bit of effort at first, but a combination of cardiovascular exercise to burn fat and weight training to convert fat to muscle and speed up your metabolism is the best way to lose weight, and you have to make it a daily habit. If you don’t know how to start doing it yourself, maybe see a personal trainer and get them to write a program for you and help you along for a few weeks or months, until you’re OK to do it on your own. Diet is also important – you probably already know what’s healthy to eat, but what’s also important is that you eat regularly, all through the day; NOT diet shakes or bars, but good quality food like oatmeal and brown rice, lots of lean protein like fish and chicken, plenty of vegetables, some fruit – and stay right away from soft drinks, white rice, white bread, muffins, etc.
Personally exercise makes me sleep better, eat better, makes me more energetic, happier and more clear-minded and helps me cope with stress. I really can’t recommend physical exercise highly enough!! – once you start doing it daily, you’ll come to love it…it’s just getting your body into the habit that’s hard at first, but your body will serve you better if it’s strong and fit. Im my work, I see so many people with chronic diseases, including young people, and there’s nothing more depressing to see people in their 30s and 40s who have had strokes and have to learn how to walk and talk again.
