Try the Special K diet. Adhere strictly. Work out vigorously (none of that walking down the street crap).

you should keep in mind that you will need to do a lot of work because that is a lot of weight in a short period of time. perhaps you should exercise at least an hour a day, but if you have never exercised before, you should see your doctor to see if you are in good shape to be involved in exercise. Then you should decrease your caloric intake for example bake instead of fried, decrease your intake of starch and simple carbohydrates.

Actually, the first 20 lbs. is the easiest to loose, after that it takes your body, (skin) longer to adjust to your shrinking size. Try cutting your portions and getting more exercise, even just walking for 30 minutes several times…it’ll help. I’ve also found that drinking a full glass of water before every meal helps, especially if your have a larger appetite.

Try weight watchers… Ive lost 22 lbs since January 1. It really works. Its based on a point system, you get so many points per day to eat. Every food has a point value. Example: a banana has 2 points.
If you havent worked out in awhile try walking.. it gets the heart rate up too ![]()
Good luck!

Don’t try to cut your food intake to a ridiculous point… keep in mind that you need to have calories in order to burn calories. Make sure you’re getting enough vitamins, fiber, protein, etc. but watch your portion sizes.
Weight Watchers is really, really good. I was on WW for a couple of months and I had lost 30 pounds, but I went off it completely and gained 20 of it back… they don’t make you cut out the foods you like, you just have to learn to watch portion sizes… If you can afford weight watchers, definitely give it a shot.

Diets really depend on the person. I was just a little bit lighter than you when I started Weight Watchers. I loved Weight Watchers, but I needed the structure of the points system, but also needed to still be able to have foods I love for me to be successful. If you can’t stand to track things, then WW probably isn’t the best diet for you.
I lost about 22 pounds on Weight Watchers, and that was in about 3 months. The thing about WW is once you’ve been on the diet for a short while, you get the hang of the rules and strategies so you can follow the diet plan on your own if you can’t afford to pay for the official Weight Watchers system anymore. However, it IS nice to have the support of others around you at the meetings and such.
I loathe working out, at least the first steps to get in a routine. When I was on WW, I found simple walks helped me get some exercise, and the more I lost weight, the easier it was to exercise (less weight for me to move around).
