Q&A: Black mixed women needs tips on hair care.?
Being a women of color (im black/native american/french) I dont have what ignorant people portray as “good hair” i have “black people’s hair.” So I was wondering if anyone could help me by maybe suggesting some hair care tips or a line of products that you know of that works on women of color hair or products you use on your own hair that works. The reason I ask is I have had short hair for sometime and im having the hardest time growing it out. Im also trying to avoid getting braids, weaves, or having to spend tons of money at the salon. If you have a personal stylist or you are one that would be a much bigger help.
Thanks to Everyone who answers my question

You want to stick with a hair care line that is more on the natural side, as this will have less sulfates and chemicals in it – which as you know, is what in the end dries out your hair. Your hair type lacks moisture and oil which is the opposite of ‘white’ hair which has moisture and oil which is why it grows healthier and longer. You need to replace the lost moisture with an intense shampoo and conditioner…my recomedation is Abba moisture scentsation shampoo and conditioner followed by nourishing leave in conditioner.

Black mixed woman here ( Blk, French/ east Indian blend) orig. from the Caribbean. Anyway, I just would say that the product line that I found works is the Pantene Pro V or even the Pantene Relaxed and Natural. But I prefer the way the Pantene Pro V smells better.
The key I think is to keep the hair constantly moist so you can check out their product line.
I did wear the weaves and a lvery natural looking ace front wig “Google” it, until my hair grew out healthier thick, longer and stronger.
